Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy in Homes
Home-based therapy allows therapists to tailor treatments in ways not possible in clinical or school environments. Occupational Therapy is provided in the child’s functional environment. Using the home environment information, therapists develop treatment plans tailored to home setting, functional goals, and family interaction.

School Therapy
Occupational therapists within the school setting are able to assess each child at any school level age and determine the appropriate Individual Educational Plan (IEP). In an assessment, the occupational therapist would evaluate handwriting skills, social skills, self- feeding skills, fine motor coordination abilities, and upper extremity strength. The therapist is able to develop a plan of care to optimize the child’s academic and non-academic success in the school setting.
